Lung Care Foundation organised its third ‘Free Lung Screening Camp for Smokers‘ at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi on 17th July, 2016. This camp was organized with the aim to create awareness among people who are smokers, explaining them the ill effects of smoking on health.

We are happy to report that 65 smokers were reviewed by Chest Specialists. Prof. (Dr.) Arvind Kumar also took a 1-hour session with the beneficiaries explaining the ill-effects of smoking, effects of smoking on Active as well as Passive Smokers, role of early lung screening in early detection of Lung Cancer and tips to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The camp ended on an extremely positive note and many of the smokers took pledge to quit smoking as well. More people joined the ‘Lung Care Family‘.
