Lung Care Foundation is an initiative by a group of Professionals committed to improve Lung Health for ALL.

In view of steadily increasing pollution and growing concern with the number of lung related diseases, “Lung Care Foundation” organised a “Free Lung Disease Check-up Camp” on 3rd January, 2016 at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi.

After the tremendous success of its inaugural “Lung Screening Camp”, the “Lung Care Foundation” organised its second “Free Lung Disease Check-up Camp” at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi on 3rd January,2016. This Camp was meant for patients suffering from various Surgical Chest Diseases like Empyema, Pneumothorax, Lung Cancer, Bronchiectasis, Hydatid Cysts or other known Chest Ailments(other than Asthma).

We are happy to report that 42 patients of various Surgical Chest ailments attended this camp. The patients were examined thoroughly including a review of their medical history and various tests. They were then advised on the best treatment options including Surgery for few. The follow-up for them will be continued in our regular OPDs. After the treatment advice, they were counselled about Diet and life style modifications including exercise to improve their lung status.

The camp ended on an extremely positive note with each patient becoming a part of the Lung Care Family.

The Lung Care Foundation has been set up to spread awareness about lung diseases, carry out community and Laboratory based research and set up state of the art treatment facilities for various lung diseases. In view of rapidly deteriorating Air quality, increasing number of Smokers and an exponential increase in the number of critical & chronic chest patients, there is an urgent need for awareness regarding the “Care & Cure” of chest diseases and early detection & treatment of the same. The Lung Care Foundation aims to address this issue.
