Lung Care Foundation is an initiative by a group of Professionals committed to improve Lung Health for ALL.
In view of steadily increasing pollution and growing concern with the number of lung related diseases, “Lung Care Foundation” organised a “Free Lung Health Awareness and Check-up Camp” on 29th November at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi.
The camp was organized at Sir Ganga Ram hospital on 29th November, 2015. A phenomenal number of 514 concerned citizens turned up for the camp to seek awareness and lung health check-up. The registered members attended an initial session, which included an introduction talk on lung care foundation, the growing concern on lung related diseases and a need for all of us to take notice of it and talk about it. This was followed by an expert talk on yoga and physiotherapy for better lung health and another expert talk on the importance of proper diet and de-addiction. Following these sessions, the participants were examined by a panel of Doctors (Chest Experts). Thereafter, 94 participants were subjected to Lung Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) on state of the art electronic machines run by experts. The entire data was recorded and analysed by Chest experts from Lung Care foundation. Participants with ailments detected on examination or PFT were given appropriate treatment advice and were advised to follow-up regularly in our outdoor service.
The entire exercise was highly appreciated by all the participants, who paid glowing tribute to those who conceived and carried out this camp. Most of the participants would like to bring in their relatives/neighbours/friends when the camp is held the next time. They also wanted to be a permanent part of The Lung Care Family and filled up a form to that effect.
